GEOMANCING THE STONES ! WHAT IS GEOMANCY?

REWILDING OUR COASTLINE 

Not only do we rewild our beaches by cleaning them up of PLASTIC trash.. but we rewild our consciousness by cleaning up our HUMAN trash! - our way of thinking..  our BEHAVIOR...what we think of- and do to places that should be respected and protected by all. 

IT ALL MATTERS ! 

The coastline from Blue Hole to Ras Abugalum is a distance of 5.5km. Its supposed to be a protected park which is FREE of plastic bottles and poaching... 

at least thats what we pay our 10USD for? 

and yet....

In the last months we cleaned up 80 % of the plastic trash strewn out on the beach and upcycled them. 

Some of the thousands of bottles we found had been lying there for over a year or two... maybe even more time...

- there was literally..  thousands of plastic bottles on the beach...( it takes 450 to 1000 years for a single use plastic botle to biodegrade )

however....

what about the HUMAN trash ?

 -the poached coral and shells left on the coast? what can we so about that ? its ugliness is so obvious.

 What we do matters...whose responsibility is it if not all of us? do we simply ignore it -or do something about it- just because we are tourists  ? 

how do we rewild it ? how do we transfom it? how do we stop these negative behavioral patterns ?

answer : we GEOMANCE it!!!-( I got the idea from the movie Romancing the Stone)

 we change or transform energetically the negative behavioral patterns of humans that have come here previously.

is that really possible? 

we cant bring back to life what is already dead... BUT we can bring AWARENESS of the challenges ahead through ART!  

WHAT IS GEOMANCY? 

Geomancy (Greek: "earth divination") is a method of divination or understanding that interprets markings on the ground or the patterns formed by tossed handfuls of soil, rocks, or sand. ... 

its like a Tibetan sand mandala that is simply there to show perfection or enlightenment... then it disappears showing the impermanence of life. 

Geomancy was practiced by people from all social classes...and mystics of all religions. It is a beautiful art form showing the chaotic- yet mathematical magic of nature...

As part of our rewilding vision we wish to  create beautiful pieces of art to REWILD the patterns of self destructive THINKING and harmful ACTING when it comes to our beautiful coastlines. 

( BTW This year the BIGGEST conference for the environment will take place in Sharm el Sheikh. COP27)

-doing nothing is not an option. Like watching someone getting mugged! 

 Reversing the direction of our destructive behavior by rewilding our consciousness.  how we view and treat nature..  is the beginning of change! 

Much of the beach coastline is littered with dead coral taken from the Red Sea and shells... it is like a GRAVEYARD rather than a place of extreme pristine beauty. A nature reserve. 

 We have cleaned up around 6 km of the coast line already by picking up single use plastic- but weve done nothing to change the energy of how this coast is respected.  until NOW!

We are priviledged to have as our guest a famous Russian avante garde photographer. 

Her photos are exhibited all over the world. 

Luna has agreed to co create with us as we "geomance" the coastline by making temporary art pieces .. photographing them...and later exhibiting the result in Dahab- or in our virtual art gallery in the metaverse. 

Our aim is to raise awareness of the problem of coral poaching and misuse of our common heritage. 

Rewilding is EVERYONES responsibility!

Here us an interesting take on the subject of geomancy. 

our aim on saturday is to be conscious of the form of the landscape.  its patterns.  and express them in art.  to REWILD THE COASTLINE  using whatever natural material we find on the coastline.  

perhaps it will help to change the thinking of those who wish to trash this beautiful habitat? ...

perhaps it will open up minds and hearts on the subject of rewilding the planet.. we do not know yet ..

 but ...we are willing to try. ! join us on this FREE workshop to GEOMANCE the stones! 

we will create mandalas in the sand....  stupas or statues on the paths from rocks we find.  and of course .  no natural object will be harmed in the process! tibetans practise this with sand paintings which are destroyed on completion. 

this is temporary art so the elements will return the objects to the Earth.  We aim to photograph these art pieces we create and hold an exhibition at a later date both on and offline. Details will be posted here.
